Despite their differences, Uwe Peregi, Shizhen Cheng, and Sohei Fukai have a lot in common: a sense of humor, fas- cination for ultrasonics, and they all like good German beer. All three of you have been at Herrmann for many years. What has your experience of the growth and the changes been? Uwe Peregi, USA: In my 15 years at Herrmann, a lot has been invest- ed in the structure and the further development of the competencies of employees and managers. The aim of becoming better and better drives our day-to-day business, but also some- times brings us to our limits. Our coach Dr. Sebastian Reschke accom- panied us in the cultural change, our culture journey, which was inspired by Jim Collin’s book Good to Great and began in 2016. This contributed to the establishment of an open feedback culture at Herrmann Ultrasonics, which is inspiring and fun. Shizhen Cheng, China: I studied in Germany and live here with my fami- ly. I joined Herrmann in 2009; I have experienced two building expansions and the huge international growth. I look after the Chinese business by spending regular periods of time there. We have grown there 20-fold.
